During all grade level lunches, students can donate money for various fun activities.
Parents can also donate by using the QR code on the flyer. (If they are donating for their child to participate in the activities, please email Parent Liaison, Mrs. Ventura at jennise.colinventura@killeenisd.org so she can add it to the list of participants.)
All donations are tax deductible (you will get a digital receipt) and stays in our area. These funds help our local students and their families that need help.
One of the biggest celebrations at UG is the Black History Celebration, February 26th, 5:30pm to 7pm.
We have LOTS of student-led entertainment happening!
We will also have local published authors and large displays of the history of soul food and samples to try.

The opening reception will be Monday, February 23rd 5:30pm-8:30pm, and UG will be at the front with our display this year! The festival is fun for all ages with a multitude of free hands-on art making activities, and will happen on Saturday, February 28th 10:00am-3:00pm.

The Spring Break Program will run March 16–20, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and is free for Boys & Girls Club members. The program will take place at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas College & Career Center, located at 707 N. 8th Street, Killeen, TX.
Students will participate in a variety of engaging activities throughout the week, including arts and crafts, gym activities, games, and more. Members will need to bring their own meals, and snacks will be provided. Registration packets are required and must be submitted by March 13, with online registration encouraged by March 11 to secure a spot.

About 2 weeks ago, our UG students wrote letters to elementary students in out of state schools. We received addresses/POCs from other students, parents and staff.
We sent out the letters last week. We already heard back from one school and they LOVED them! We love our students, locally and out of state.
