Killeen ISD will host a Living Well Aware Parent Meeting to provide middle school parents with an overview of the district’s Sexual Health and Child Abuse Curriculum. The virtual session, led by Dr. Patricia Sulak, will take place March 24, 2026, from 5:00–5:30 p.m. via Zoom. Parents will have the opportunity to learn about the curriculum and how it supports student safety and well-being.

Be part of the Bike Rodeo on March 27th 6:30pm to 9pm at the Harker Heights Community Park, 1605 Knight's Way, Harker Heights.
Kids will do a skill building sessions of safety checks and a fun obstacle course. Towards the end of the event, there will be a nice night time bike ride, starting at 8pm.
Riders should bring their bikes and helmets to participate.

Choir UIL was Wednesday and Thursday.
The Non-Varsity tenor bass got "Excellent on Stage and "Good in Sight-reading.
The Non-Varsity Treble got a "Superior Rating on Stage and Excellent in Sightreading" and
Varsity Treble got a "Superior on Sand an "Excellent in Sightreading!
The choir did a fantastic job representing Union Grove Middle School this week and Mr. Morgan is very proud of his students!

Field trips, concerts and other events will be happening real soon!
These require assistance from our volunteers.
If you are interested in becoming a chaperone, a volunteer application and orientation are required.
Go to killeenisd.org/volunteer to do the application.
Email Mrs. Ventura at Jennise.Colinventura@killeenisd.org to let her know that you have completed the application.
Allow 3 to 5 business days for the application to be processed.
Mrs. Ventura will reach out to schedule orientation.

Athlete Student of the Week is Myles Venus! He was selected by Coach Tomgenovich.
Myles is currently a member of the 8th grade track team. Myles has accomplished multiple 1st places finishes on various events while also setting the all time Union Grove record for the 110 and 300 meter hurdles. He leads by example by working hard in practice and conditioning, as well as attending some of the high school track practices in order to perfect his craft.
Coach Tomgenovich, 8th grade boys track coach, says "Myles is the personification of what a student-athlete looks like. gives great effort in practice, leads by example, takes care of business in the classroom, and is very coachable and respectful. Really glad that I have had the opportunity to coach him the last 2 years".
Congratulations Myles! We are so proud of you!

Every Friday, UG Parents and guardians of the military (active duty, retired, prior service, reserves, National Guard, etc.) can join their children to have lunch every Friday.
